Host a Fundraiser

RMHC of Southern Arizona is fortunate to be the beneficiary of community events organized by individuals, local organizations, schools, and businesses. The funds raised help to provide the necessary services and comforts for the families who rely on our programs. 100% of donations raised stay in the Southern Arizona area!

Consider gathering friends and co-workers to organize an auction, bake sale, cocktail party, jeans day, wish list drive, or another fun event!

Step 1: Decide on your fundraiser

Whether it’s running a marathon or selling lemonade on the sidewalk or asking friends to donate in lieu of gifts for your big day, there’s no limit to the ways you can use your strengths to help house, feed, and support families with critically ill children through charity fundraising.

Step 2: Get approval

Step 3: Hold your event

Upon approval of your fundraising event application, you will be provided with logos and assets.

Step 4: Report Back

Tell us how it went! Share pictures and videos with us. Make an appointment to visit the House and turn in donations you collected.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

We appreciate the opportunity to speak with you before you hold your event. We’d like understand your goals, and it’s in the best interest of our organization to ensure that all logos and trademarks are being used properly. We often get calls from the public about these events, so it’s a help to us both when we’re aware of your generosity.

NOTE:  Fundraisers using endorsed social media fundraising platforms (e.g., Facebook, JustGiving, Instagram) do not need prior approval from development staff. However, if campaign associated with RMHC-SA does not meet our social media or community standards, we will request its removal.

We ask that applications are submitted 30 days prior to the proposed fundraising event. Please contact our team if you have any questions or concerns. (link to Meet our Team#Development)

  • No, for gifts in honor of a birthday or anniversary, or in memory of a loved one, you do not need to obtain our approval. However, we do ask that you let our Development Department know about your activity so we can properly acknowledge the donors and you.
  • If you are having a major event and expect several online gifts, contact us about the possibility of setting up an online donation portal for you.
  • We can only send acknowledgement letters for gifts given directly to RMHC of Southern Arizona. If you pass along checks written out to RMHC, we can send a thank you letter. If you have questions about this or how it might affect tax deductibility, please call us.
