Why volunteer at a Ronald McDonald Family Room?
Staying in the hospital can be tiring and isolating. But at a Ronald McDonald Family Room, our volunteers play a big part in helping families feel comfortable, safe and refreshed.
The Volunteer Experience
While at either Ronald McDonald Family Room, you’ll greet guests and make them feel at home. Keep a fresh pot of coffee at all times and some healthy snacks laid out for our visitors. You might help kids with craft projects or games. You will most definitely lend a listening ear to a parent who could use a friend in the moment.
We operate two programs at:

I started at the House as a volunteer, and it feels surreal to transition to full-time staff as the Volunteer Coordinator. The dedication and love I’ve seen from volunteers since starting my role has been amazing – both at the Ronald McDonald House and in the Ronald McDonald Family Rooms. I feel humbled and excited to be leading such a committed and dynamic group of volunteers.
