Walk for Kids, the signature event of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern Arizona, brings together family, friends, and community members to build awareness and raise funds to nurture the health and well-being of children and their families.
Walk with us Sunday, December 7, 2025 at Kino Sports Complex North (2805 E Ajo Way), for a 1-mile stroll to support families with a child facing a critical illness or injury.
Walk for Kids features interactive activities for all ages, including a Kids’ Zone consisting of booths from local community partners. In 2024, more than 1,400 walkers and donors raised over $140,000.

When's the last day I can register for the Walk for Kids?
You can register for the Walk for Kids through 11 AM on Sunday, December 7 either online or in-person. T-shirts are available while supplies last.
Can I pick up my t-shirt before the Walk?
Yes! Participants may pick up their t-shirts early at the Ronald McDonald House (2155 E Allen Rd, Tucson, AZ 85719) on Monday, December 1 and Tuesday, December 2, between 2:00 pm and 6:00 pm.
Sizes are available while supplies last. If you’re picking up for your whole team, please come prepared with a list of preferred t-shirt sizes.
Where is the event?
The Walk for Kids has a new location! Join us at Kino Sports Complex North (Sam Lena Recreation Area), directly south of the clubhouse.

Where should I park—and is it free?
Free parking is available at all surface lots at Kino Sports Complex North. You may enter from E Ajo Way where volunteers will direct you to the nearest lot.

What time does the event start? When do we walk and how long will it take?
The event opens at 8 AM and the 1-mile stroll begins at 9 AM. The family fun walk consists of a 1-mile loop around the paved path Sam Lena Park.
The entire route is suitable for strollers and wagons.
Can I bring my pet?
No. We love pets, but please leave furry friends at home for this event to help us keep everyone safe and the venue clean. Service animals are always welcome!
Is the venue wheelchair accessible?
Yes! The main event takes place on a densely-packed grass field which is suitable for wheelchairs, strollers, and wagons. The 1-mile family fun walk takes place on a fully paved path.
What is the weather going to be like?
The Walk for Kids is a rain-or-shine event. Please come prepared with appropriate weather gear.

Where does the money go?
Money raised at the Walk for Kids will support Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern Arizona, providing essential services that remove barriers, strengthen families, and promote healing when children need healthcare. With your help, we are making life a little easier for families—especially those with critically ill children. What is an activity passport?
The Activity Passport is a booklet that contains fun ways for families to get active together, information about RMHC-SA, and a scoreboard for a hidden sock scavenger hunt.
Once the scoreboard is complete, kids can bring their Activity Passport to the red and white Gift Shop tent for a prize.
