I joined the RMHC in 2013 and quickly understood just how important the House is for our families. Every day I am amazed by the generosity and spirit of our volunteers, donors, sponsors, and the entire Southern Arizona community all in support of our guests. At the heart of RMHC is family, and that’s what has been built here by those same people over the last 40+ years.

I was hired in 2008 as the House Manager and now serve as the Director of Operations. My primary focus is to provide support and comfort to the wonderful families and children who stay with us. I consider it a privilege to be able to take care of them and to offer whatever help I can as they go through these stressful situations. Giving families a “Home away from home” when they need it is the most satisfying aspect of what I do.

I am overwhelmed at the incredible dedication and support from our donors, volunteers and staff. I am honored to be a part of this team and I am dedicated to working with our donors through all fundraising efforts, including estate planning, to make sure Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern AZ is here forever!

I started at the House as a volunteer, and it feels surreal to transition to full-time staff as the Volunteer Coordinator. The dedication and love I’ve seen from volunteers since starting my role has been amazing – both at the Ronald McDonald House and in the Ronald McDonald Family Rooms. I feel humbled and excited to be leading such a committed and dynamic group of volunteers.

Hola! In 2016, I was blessed to join the RMHC as the Accounting Manager. Ever since, my goal has been to keep this home in compliance and protect its finances so this house can continue to serve families for many years to come. I take care of all the accounting, HR and notary needs but the best part of my job is when we get Spanish only speaking families. Being bilingual allows me to step outside of my accounting world and assist them to help make their stay much easier and more welcoming. I’m honored to able to work with such an amazing staff, volunteers and the RMHC organization.

As Donor Database and Development Coordinator, I am given the unique opportunity to work with every department at RMHC. From providing administrative support to the staff and helping our wonderful volunteers at the front desk, to keeping in touch with local schools who participate in the Pop Tab recycling program, I am lucky to be involved in so many aspects of what we do, and I’m constantly amazed at all the different ways our local Southern Arizona communities pull together to help our families. I’m honored to be a part of such an amazing organization.

I joined RMHC-SA in 2020 as the Marketing & Special Events Coordinator. The best part of my job is listening to families share their stories and, in turn, sharing these stories with you through social media, our e-newsletters and the annual Gratitude Report. It’s also a pleasure to work alongside community volunteers to shape and manage our flagship events. I am so grateful to work here and to see the magic that happens every day.

I began my journey with RMHC in 2014 when I was hired as a Weekend Manager. In that position, I spent a lot of time talking to our families and learning about their stories and the barriers that they face. This insight helped me transition to my new role of Family Support Specialist. In this role, I have the opportunity to work closely with our families and create new programs to assist them while they are staying at the House, as well as when they are ready to transition home. It is my privilege to work for such an amazing organization that is dedicated to putting our families first.

My journey with Ronald McDonald House Charities began when I first volunteered at the Ronald McDonald House in Columbus Ohio in 2012. Not only was it a home away from home for families needing a place to stay while their child receives medical care, it also became my home away from home as well. I became a staff member and held many different positions. It is a magical place where families come first. Now that my family and I have moved to Tucson, I look forward to continuing my involvement with this wonderful mission and making it possible for this Ronald McDonald House to serve many families.

I have had the privilege of assisting some of the bravest children and young adults, and their supportive families during a difficult and stressful time in their lives. I have seen how Ronald McDonald House Charities has allowed these families to focus on healing while having their housing, food, and transportation needs cared for without cost to them. I am also impressed how the community in Southern Arizona has come together to provide the financial support to permit all of this to happen. It is truly an amazing experience.

As someone who has been a patient and stayed at a Ronald McDonald House myself, to have the opportunity to give back and help families the way I was helped is a privilege.

I get the greatest satisfaction out of providing a warm, welcoming and caring experience for our families during what can be a difficult time. It is truly an honor and a privilege to serve the families who stay here and I’m incredibly proud to be part of this amazing organization!

I really value the interactions with the families I have during my weekends at the Ronald McDonald House. In addition to providing administrative support to some of their doctors at my day job, my time with them at the House feels like a full circle moment.
One of the things I appreciate most about the Ronald McDonald House is that all families are recognized and treated with the same loving care. -
I love working at the Ronald McDonald House because of the support we provide families and the great people I am able to meet and work with!

Hearing everyone’s journey is what makes me want to continue to help and contribute. I am grateful to have been given the opportunity to work at Ronald McDonald House.
