Q: Can I pick up my t-shirt before the Walk?

Yes! Participants may pick up their t-shirts early at the Ronald McDonald House (2155 E Allen Rd, Tucson, AZ 85719) on Monday, December 1 and Tuesday, December 2, between 2:00 pm and 6:00 pm. Sizes are available while supplies last. If you’re picking up for your whole team, please come prepared with a list of preferred t-shirt sizes.

No. We love pets, but please leave furry friends at home for this event to help us keep everyone safe and the venue clean. Service animals are always welcome!

Yes! The main event takes place on a densely-packed grass field which is suitable for wheelchairs, strollers, and wagons. The 1-mile family fun walk takes place on a fully paved path.

Walk for Kids brings together family, friends, and community members to build awareness and raise funds for Ronald McDonald House Southern Arizona, providing essential services that strengthen families when children need healthcare.

The highlight of the event is a 1-mile stroll to show support for families with a child facing a critical illness or injury. Bring the whole family and enjoy interactive activities for all ages from local community partners.

When's the last day I can register for the Walk for Kids?

You can register for the Walk for Kids through 11 AM on Sunday, December 7 either online or in-person. T-shirts are available while supplies last.

What time does the event start? When do we walk and how long will it take?

The event opens at 8 AM and the 1-mile stroll begins at 9 AM. The family fun walk consists of a 1-mile loop around the paved path Sam Lena Park.

The entire route is suitable for strollers and wagons.

The Walk for Kids is a rain-or-shine event. Please come prepared with appropriate weather gear.

Where does the money go?

Money raised at the Walk for Kids will support Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern Arizona, providing essential services that remove barriers, strengthen families, and promote healing when children need healthcare. With your help, we are making life a little easier for families—especially those with critically ill children. Best of all, your donations will stay local and help families right here in Southern Arizona.

What is an activity passport?

The Activity Passport is a booklet that contains fun ways for families to get active together, information about RMHC-SA, and a scoreboard for a hidden sock scavenger hunt.

Once the scoreboard is complete, kids can bring their Activity Passport to the red and white Gift Shop tent for a prize.
